MOUNT KILIMANJARO TREKKING Standing tall with a height of 5,895 meters from the sea level, undoubtedly is one of the most adventurous activities in the world. The snow capped peaks, exotic landscapes, and ecological diversity makes this mountain even more special and is the reason as to why it is visited by tens of thousands of climbers every year.

Mount Kilimanjaro Climbing is a huge stratovolcano which was formed millions of years ago s a result of volcanic activities. The astounding height of nearly 6,000 meters makes Kilimanjaro the tallest free-standing mountain in the world. It is composed of three distinct volcanic cones. The three peaks are Shira to the east, Mawenzi to the west and Kibo (the tallest) in the middle of the two. While Mawenzi and Shira are now extinct, Kibo could erupt once again in the future.

Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and the highest free standing mountain in the world. By free-standing, or non-massif, we mean it is not part of a mountain range.

The summit on Mount Kilimanjaro is called Uhuru Peak and stands at 5,895m or 19,341 feet. To put this in perspective, Mount Everest, stands at 8,848 meters (29,029 feet) – just over 2,950 meters higher.
